Welcome Back Principal Message

QUEST Community,

We are off and running! Life at QUEST is moving full-speed ahead, and it has been such a privilege to welcome our learners back. The first day of school we rolled out the red carpet--literally--but we hope our students feel as though they are welcomed and affirmed each day they arrive at school. Thanks for your part in helping to start this year on a positive note!

Health at QUEST

The Hilton Central School District recently added K-4 Health to each of our elementary schools. This instruction is taught at QUEST by Mr. Jacob Farrell, and he has sent a note home with each child regarding his role here at QUEST. Welcome to QUEST, Mr. Farrell.

Our district has used a program named Second Steps to provide social/emotional instruction in the past, and Mr. Farrell will continue to use this resource. More specifically, he will be touching upon topics such as:

  • growth mindset
  • goal setting
  • emotional management
  • empathy and kindness
  • problem solving
  • nutrition and healthy lifestyle

Information Nights

QUEST holds Information Night in late September, and this year we are able to have it in-person. Please see below for the Information Nights:

Intermediate: September 28 from 6:45-7:30

Kindergarten: September 29 from 6:00-6:45

Chromebooks

Classes are getting underway with their work. Please make sure your child comes to school with their Chromebooks each day, charged and ready to go! As always, if you need help please submit a ticket via Incident IQ.

Help Me Celebrate Staff!

Working in education requires grit, persistence, and passion. Our team at QUEST is second-to-none and consistently goes above and beyond to support our students. I've been fortunate to be in education for almost twenty years, but in recent years I have witnessed the job of the teacher become increasingly difficult.

Please join me this year in celebrating our teachers and staff. They deserve it! If you'd like to give a "shout out" to a staff member, please use the link below. I will deliver a certificate to celebrate them!

I look forward to running into each of you throughout the year. Let's all work together to make this the best year yet for our learners. WE are QUEST!

With respect,

Derek Warren
