Field day is Thursday, June 10th. In order to allow this day, we had develop protocol that aligns with NYS Guidelines for schools. For those interested, below is an overview of the activities that students will participate in, along with the protocol that we will adhere to as a school community. A huge thanks to Mr. Moon and Mr. DePrez for finding ways to make this day work!
Below is a list of stations for field day 2021. Each station has a list of expectations.When students arrive and exit a station they will receive hand sanitizer.
Slip and Slide
-Masks will be worn at all times
-Students will wait 3 feet away away from each other as they wait their turn in line
-One student at a time will go down the slip and slide
-Each student should bring a second (dry) mask to put on at the end of this station
Water Games
-Each child will be masked at all times
-Students will remain socially distanced
-Each student should bring a second (dry) mask to put on at the end of this station
Playground
-Students will be masked at all times
-Students will remain socially distanced
Book Reading
-Students will be masked and socially distanced
-Two classes will split up and be read a book separately to accommodate numbers
Sidewalk Chalk
-Students will be masked and socially distanced
Movie in Auditorium
-Students will be masked and socially distanced
-Will be showing a “G” rated movie
Kickball
-Students will be masked and socially distanced
Line Soccer
-Students will be masked and distanced while waiting as a goalie
Capture the Flag
-Students will be masked
-Cut up pool noodles will be used and held by kids to help stay socially distanced
Dance in the Cafeteria
-Students will be masked and socially distanced
4 Square in the Gym
-Students will be masked and socially distanced
