May Principal Update

Families, 

Happy May! Where does the time go? As the weather warms and we inch closer toward summer, our school is continuing to ensure each day is meaningful and filled with opportunities for academic growth. Thank you for sending us students that show up ready to go each day. 

Budget Vote 

Next Tuesday is the budget vote. If you haven't already done so, please feel free to view the information located on the district website by clicking on the presentation below. 

 

Placement Update 

As mentioned in our April blog post, placement season is upon us. We are currently just about done with placement and will be prepping the mailing for families for the first week of June. From there, we will hold a moving up day on June 18th. For those new to QUEST, moving up day is where the students head to their new teacher to meet their new classmates.  

 

School Supplies for 2024-2025

Our district will be providing all students with their school supplies once again. You may notice teachers asking for you to send in items like headphones, however, all supplies will be ready to go by the first day of school. 

We do not provide bookbags or lunch boxes, however, if your family is in financial need and would benefit from these items, please reach out to our school counselor, Valerie Pond. 

Attendance through Infinite Campus

Starting Monday, May 20, parents/guardians will have an additional option to notify the attendance office of their child's absence via Campus Parent (IC Parent Portal).  The Campus Parent Attendance Feature is available for all HCSD parents/guardians to enter absences for their children. 

 

Campus Parent Attendance has a user-friendly interface, making it easy for parents to navigate and submit absence requests through Infinite Campus. Upon submission of an absence request, parents/guardians will receive confirmation that their request has been submitted. The primary goal of this tool is to provide an additional absence notification option for families.  As always, phone and email will remain options to report absences.  

 

The HCSD IC Portal Support Page for families highlights a tip sheet for families.  Families may connect with the HCSD IC team via icportal@hilton.k12.ny.us.
