HALLOWEEN at QUEST 2020

 Families,

Halloween will look and feel different this year at school as we look to balance safety with being productive. Usually Halloween falls on a half day, but this year we have full days with each cohort prior to the day, so with our limited time with students we need to also be productive. Please look at the Q and A regarding Halloween below.

When will Halloween be celebrated in school?

  • Cohort 1, Thursday, October 29th
  • Cohort 2, Friday, October 30th

How will Halloween be celebrated in school?

This year, we will not have a parade or school-wide assembly in the auditorium. We hope to continue this tradition next year! Each level and teacher has devised plans to celebrate that fit appropriately with their level, while adhering to all guidelines. In addition, we are unable to have in parent volunteers.

What are the expectations with costumes?

As a school, we are allowing costumes, but in a more limited way in order to ensure a safe and productive day. Please be sure your child's costume fits the expectations below.

  • No face coverings or over the head masks are allowed to be worn other than approved, daily medical masks that adhere to the current guidelines that were set through Covid-19.
  • Costume should be able to be worn all day comfortably by the student, without overheating or needing a change in clothes...student should be able to wear costume while remaining in seat during work periods.
  • Refrain from costumes that are violent in nature, and no fake weapons are allowed.

We do not celebrate Halloween or we prefer not to have our child wear a costume of any sort to school. Do we have to wear costumes?

The week of  October 26th is a Spirit Week. If you do not celebrate , or your child does not have a costume that meets the school-wide expectations, please feel free to participate by wearing school colors. The spirit week calendar is below.
