Hilton
Central School District Physical Education Re-Opening
Social Distancing – School will maintain protocols
and procedures for students, staff, and other individuals to ensure appropriate
social distancing to protect against the transmission of COVID-19 virus when on
school grounds an in-school facilities. Appropriate social distancing means six
feet of space in all directions between individuals or use of appropriate
physical barriers between individuals that do not adversely affect airflow,
health, cooling, or ventilation, or otherwise present a health or safety risk. In
Physical Education, social distancing can be expanded to a minimum of 12
feet while participating in learning opportunities and exercise within physical
education. While engaged in these activities at 12 or more feet apart, students
will be allowed to not wear their mask. This is their option and is in
accordance to the New York State Department of Health guidance document. At
all other times students will continue to wear their masks.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our
director of physical education Mike Giruzzi at 392-1000 ext. 2136 or mgiruzzi@hilton.k12.ny.us
